The (ity Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall to :consider the
graveling and oiling of part of Main Street and was called to order
by Mayor James Kucera at 8:00 o'clock. r. 11. Tuesday April 28, 1931.
Upon roll call, the following aldermen answered present.
Bray
korter _
Chamberlin
Barney
Vordshl
Graves
Hartley
Mr. 00 M. old, Tim Reardon, IvIr, :"rb, Tyr. Morris, Idr.
Stewart and Lir. Early appeared before the City Council to report
on their efforts to gravel and oil a-strip on Main street between
the pavement and sidewalk.

,...? It was estimated that it would require 'p135.00 per block
to gravel and oil that strip, It was moved by Hartley and seconded
by Barney that the City Engineer proceed to do the excavation and
construction of the wort, as soon as the $135.00 per block was a-
vailab'le'. The motion carried.
After some discussion of applying one inch of gravel and
oil on First Avenue, between Vain Street' and First Street, it was
moved by Barney and seconded by Vordahl that as soon as X175.00 was
available that the City Engineer proceed with the construction of
that etreet improvement. The motion carried.-
It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Graves that we do
now adjourn. The motion carried.
