The City Council of the Oity of laurel met in regular session in the council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor James Kueera_at 8:00 o' clock P. Id, Tuesday February 3, 1931. Upon roll call, the following aldermen answered present; Porter Chamberlin Barney Perry ' Graves Hartley The minutes of January 14th and January 20th were read and approved. Mr. Davis of the Calkngs Company appeared before the City Council in regard to an addressograph for the Water Department. After some discussion, the matter was referred to a--later meeting. The report of the Police :Judge was presented and, read. It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Barney that the report be approved. The motion carried. Y-he report of the Chief of Police was presented and read. It was moved by Chamberlin and se-conded by Perry that the report be approved. The motion carried. The report of the City 'Treasurer was presented and recd. It was moved by Graves and seconded by Perry that the report be ap- proved. The motion carried. The Water commissioner reported that one of the piston rods had broken out through the side of the engine of the City truck. After some discussion, it was moved by Perry and seconded by Porter that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for a new truck. The motion carried. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Hartley that we do now adjourn, The motion carried.
