The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to
order by Mayor James Kueera at `8:00 ox cloak 'P. M. Tuesday January
20, 1951*
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present,
Baxne y
Chamberlin
Perry
4ordah3
Graves
Hartley
The minutes- of January 6th and January 14th were read
and approved.
Custodian's receipt covering 5,000.00` United States
Treasxxr-yZ?otss given by the Midland National Bank to secure de-
posits of the City, of Laaurel in that bank, was presented and read.
It was moved by Barney and seconded by Hartley t4at the custodian's
receipt be approved as security of the City deposits in the Midland
Rational Bank. The motion carried.
qtr. Prank.Miller appeared before the Council in regard
to sheet iron building inside the fire limits. ' It was moved by
Hartley and seconded by Vordahl that his request be denied. The
motion caarried._
Cdr. Geo. Smith. appeared before the Council in regard to
license and after some discussion, it was moved by Vordahl and
seconded by Hartley that the matter be referred to the Finance
Committee, City Attorney and City Treasurer. The motion carried.
it was moved by Berry and seconded by Vordahl that we
do now adjourn. The,motion carried.
