session in the Council Chamber in the City Mall and was called
to order by Tjele Vorda.hl, President of the 1:ouncil, at 8;00
o'clock P. R', Tuesday December 20, 1932.
Upon roll call, the following Alderman answexed
present; -
Bray
loxtex
click
Chamberlin
Huxless
Dull
The minutes of December 6th were read and approved,
The xepoxts o'L the ity Clerk for the months of October
and rovembex were presented and read. It was moved by Dull and
seconded by Hurless that the reports be approved. The motion
carried.
Mayor Broughton appeared and presided during the re-
maindex of the meeting.
A map, prepared by the engineexing department of the
V or t kern Pacific Railway company, showing the amount of city
inundated during the cloud burst last spring, was presented fox
discussion and study. After some discussion, it was moved by
Voxdahl:- and seconded by Dill that the City Engineer trite the
State Highway Commission xesiuesting them to come and go over
the ground with the Street and Alley Committee. The motion
carried.
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded, by Bray that
the claims fox tax refunds, presented at last regular meeting,
be denied in `accordance with the recommendations of the City
Attorney, The motion carried.
An application fox license to operate a pool hall by
0. Its. Harp was presented and read, It was ;moved by Huxless and
seconded by Voxdahl that the request be granted and the City
Treasurer be authorized to issue license. The, motion carried.
An application to operate a pool hall by S. E. Anderson
was again presented and read. It was moved by'ovdahl and
seconded by Click that the application be tagled. The motion
carried.
An application to operate a pool hall by,Freebury
Bothers was` presented and read. It was moved by Click and
seconded by Hurless that the request be granted and the City
Treasurer be authorized to issue license. The motion carried.
An application to operate a pool hall by Frank Jacobs
was again presented and read. It was moved by voxd.ahl and
seconded by Click than the application be 'tabled until more
information was received, The motion carried,
Frank Wright appeared before the lity council in xe-
gaxd to closing at 12-.00 o'clock P* X and was advised that there
was no oxdinanoe requiring him to close at 12,
The City Txeasurex was instructed to file his delinquent
license repoxt at the second meeting df the City Council in
January,
it was moved by Huxless and seconded by Click that we do
now adjourn The motion carried.
