Brown appeared before the City Council in regard to the 1.50 surcharge for water oon.sumera outside of the city limits and requested that the City council consider a reduction at this time. It wasmoved by Hartley and seconded by Bray that the matter be referred to the Water -0om- mittee. The motion carried. The report of the City Tme=urer was presented ond read.:. It was moved by Fordahl and seconded by Hartley that the report be approved as read. The motion carried. The report of the Chief of Police was pxesented and read. It was moved: by Bray and seconded by Click that the report b.e ap- proved as read. The motion carried. The report of the Police judge was presented and x e4. Robertson, in which he offered to surrender bond Ha.-- 68 on 8peeial improvement ])istriat Na.. 14 `fop 90.09, being the amount of money now on hared in Speeial Improve ment District No. 14, was presented and <read. - it was moved by Hartley and, seeonded by Vordahl that the City Tr-easurer be author- j ized`to purchas, said bond for $90.09. The motion carried. i A letter from A. 0. Allyn & Co. to the City Treasur-er, regarding $20,000. worth of Waterworks. aeries A & B Bonds, was { presented and read. It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Click that tie. bond question be deferred until the next weting.. The motlan carried. i An application for a permit to remodel a garage' on 3rd Avenue from S. 0. Carlson was presented and read. it was' moved by Hartley and seconded by Hhrless that the permit be, granted. Mr. Chamberlin and Mr. Bull, members of the Finance Committee, being absent, the Mayor appointed Mi. Click and Lair. Vordahl' to assist in auditing the bills. The motion carried- After some di scussion of members of the City I Council being absent from meetings, it was moved by Hartley and seconded by vordahl that the City Clerk be i nstructed to notify all Alder- men that -Se-etian 17, Ar ticle 2, Chapter 2, ordinance No . 228, being the'wRevised Ordinance of 1921, relative to attendance, would be enforced.
