The city. Oo oil of the City of Laurel met in red=
ulax meeting in an adjourned regal ar session in the uounoil
Chambers in the City Hall end, -was called to order by Mayor
R. Broughton at 8:'00 ol clock P. 111., konday; August 8, 1932,
Upon roll call the following Aldermen answerg4, present
Glick
Chamberlin
Vowdahl
Hartley
Dill
The, Clerk reported that no protest against the budget
had been filed, hereupon: it was moved by fordahl and seconded'
by Dull that the .budget be approved. The motion married.
The IFayor reported that F,slow" signs f@r the streets
-adjacent to the City Park had been requested by the katron. It
was moved' by vordahl and seconded by Chamberlin that four "slow"
signs be ordered. The motion carried.
A complaint was Tiled that automobilb;;drivers were cut
ting in between 8tarkeyt s resideiaee and Gum,1 8 .e,ausing a bad dust
condition.' The Street Commissioner was instructed to close the
trail through 'that blook.`
A letter from A. 0., Allyn & 00i to the City Treasurer
in which they requested a bid on 0209000. worth of v a:terworks
Series A & i3 bonds was presented and read. It was moved and sec-
onded that the Oity Treasurer bd authorized to offer 7070 ;for the
bonds if the Yellowstone Bank did not accept the offer made them.,
by August ° 10, 1932
The caontract` with is. K. Wright, relative to his reser-
vation or 5000 yards of gravel from the mossmain piti was' discussed.

The City Attorney: reported that a quorum was not present.
the whter Commissioner reported that the school board had
requested the City. s a$statanoe in baying material for the remodel-
mg of'their heating plant at the gymnasium and central school
buildings. Those present voi04 no ob jeotion, providing no fin-
ancial obligations were incurred.
it was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. the
motion earried.
