Broughton at 8:00 0' cloak p. ?a. August 2, 1932. Upon roll call the following Aldermen' ,answered- present: Bray Porter Chamberlin Vordahl uUTless 'Dull The minutes of the regular meeting of July 19, 1932, and the adjourned regular meeting of July 22, 19:32, and the spec- ial session of July 29, 1952, were read and appreved. Br.'' broughton received a call and Nele vordahl, presi- dent. of the .dou.ncil, presided during the.:remaindwr of the meeting. A request for license to operate a funeral homeat 519 Was presented and read. After lot A.venae by J. Smith some die- . ouss ion, it was moved' by Bray and seconded by Hux, less that the Couno il. recsoneider, their motion of July 19th relative to a funeral home in the residence district. The motion oarried. It was moved by Porter and seconded by Hn,3ic? ess that the request of J. . Smith to operate a funeral home at 19 let Ave. be granted and that the City Treasurer be authorized to issue license. The motio n carried. R. B. Packard, Fire Chief, and Reese- Price', Fireman, appeared before the Couneil in regard to allowing funds for fire- men to attend -the annual aahool wEieh is to be held in Billies this year. The motion carried. B contract for the storage of the fire track for the en- suing year with Slaughter & Warwick was presented and read. It was ' moved by Porter and seconded by Dail that the oontxaet be approved. The motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 407 Resolution No. 407, being a resolution levying and assessing a special tax against certain designated property for the removal of garbage, snow, weeds and refuse, was presented for final passage. The Glerk produced proof of publication in the Laurel outlook and informed the City Council that no protests had been received. It was moved by Dell and seconded by gurless that final passage and approval of said resolution be made. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye. Thereupon the Mayor declared said Resolution No. 407 finally passed and adopted. RESOLUTION 10. 408 Resolution No. 408, being a resolution levying and assessing all of the property embraeed within Special Improvement Lighting District No. 1 of the City of Laurel, Montana, with three-fourths of the entire cost of maintenance and electric current for the year 1932, was presented for final passage. The Clerk produced proof of publication in the Laurel Outlook and in- formed the City Council that no protests had been received. It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by porter that final passage and approval of said resolution be made. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye. Thereupon the mayor declared said Resolution No. 408 finally passed and adopted. Lighting Improvement District No. 3 of the City of Laurel, Montana, for the payment of improvements therein., was presented and read. It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Porter that said resolu- Lion be provisionally passed and adopted. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye and said resolution was declared provis- ionally passed. RESOLUTION NO. 412. Resolution No. 412, being a resolution levying.: and assessing taxes for the payment of bonds issued against Special Improvement Parking District No. 1 of ` 0 City of Laurel,- Montana, f© the payment of improvements therein., was presented and read" it was moved'by porter and seconded by pall that said resolution be provisionally passed and adopted. It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Hatle=ss that the report be approved. The motion earried. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of July was presented and read. it was moved by Dull and sewn ed b"' Br that the report be approved. The motion carried.
