It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Dull that the report be approved. The -motion carried. The report of the Police Judge was presented and read. it was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by furless that the re- port be approved. The motion carried. The report of the Chief of Police was presented and read. It was moved by Dull and seconded by Vordahl that the report be approved. The motion carried. The report of the Health officer was presented and read. It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Dull-that the report be approved. The motion carried. The motion carried M ra ,r Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel, Montana, July 5, 1932, con' t. The Committee on Light & Water, which had been instruct- ed to investigate the complaint of r. Garlson, of June 7th, xel- ative to discontinuance of two ornamental light posts at his cornAr on Third Avenue, reported recommending that the request be denied but that hereafter Light District No. 1 be assessed on the area basis, which would give Mr. Carlson. and other corner lot holders some relief. It was moved and seconded that the report of the Com- mittee be adopted. The motion carried. After some discussion of Hilgert' s & Clark's building on Montana Avenue, it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Pull that they be notified to tape care of their building. The motion 'carried. R. B, Packard, Fire Chief, appeared before the City Council in regard to fire hazards and other fire department matters. It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Dull that the Council back the Fire Department on Ordinance Vlolators. After some discussion of Main Street Alleys, it was moved by Dull and seconded by Vordahi that the Chief of Police be in- structed to have conditions remedied. It was moved by Vordanl and seconded by Hartley that the; Clerk notify Settergren to clean up his lot south of the (Outlook Building. The motion carried. i :lifter some discussion of the power pole at Bert Cherrow's residence, it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hurless that 'the Montana Power Co. be notified to move pole far enough east to clear his driveway. The motion carried. The Police was instructed to notify Norman. Whitely to re- frain from leaving his spray across the sidewalk. The Clerk was instructed to request C. B. Perry and ;ohas. Gowan to trim their trees in order to allow free passage along the si dewalk. B. L. Price, City Attorney, read a report from Attorneys in New York City regarding the progress with Kountze Bres :, banklors New York City. The Street and Alley Committee were instructed to make another inspection around the east city limits in regard to drainage. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that we do now, adjourn.
