The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called to order by Eels Vordahl, President of the Council, at 8:00 o'clock. P. M, dune 21, 1932. Upun roll call the following Aldermen answered present, Bray Porter Chamberlin Click Hurless Dull The minutes of dune 7th and dune 10th were read and approved. The report of the City Clerk on outstanding war-rants for the period ending May 31st was presented and read. It was moved by Dull and seconded by Hurless that the report be ap- proved. The motion carried. The report of the hater Commissioner for the month of April was presented and read. It was moved by Hurless and seconded by Chamberlin that the report be approved. The motion carried. DIX, Thornton appeared before the City Council in regard toa building permit east of the Flour Mill and south of Railroad Street. It was moved by Hurless and seconded by Click that the permit be granted. The motion carried. mr. Ephland, District Engineer for the State Highway Com- mission, appeared in response to a request for him to join in the discussion of drainage in Laurel and vicinity. After discussing most phases of the drainage, it was moved by Dull that the culverts be doubled at two streets and two other crossings ,at the east-, end of town. There being no second the motion was lost. The Committee on Light & Water requested further time to consider the' street lights at the Laird Apartments. Resolution.Eo. 405. Resolution No. 405, being a.resolu.tion transferring aer- tain funds of the City of Laurel, was presented and read. It was. moved by ... tll and seconded ty Hurlesshat Resolution Igo. 405 be passed and adopted. Upon roll call all Aldermen present voted aye and said resolution was declared passed and adopted. Resolution No. 406. Resolution No. 406, being a resolution transferring aer- tain funds of the City of Laurel was presented and read. It was moved by Huriess and seconded by Porter that Resolution No. 406 be passed and adopted. Upon roll call all Aldermen present voted aye and said resolution No. 406 was declared passed and adopted. The City Engineer was instructed to have the Ford Motor. Company remove the culvert on the west side of their parking space. It was moved by Hurless and seconded b Chamberlin that we do now adjourn. The motion carried. i y Clerk.
