j i i Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Tarr-e 1, Montana January 5, 1932. The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session in the Couneil Chamber and was called to order by Mayor 9. Boughton at 8:00 o'clock F. M. January 5, 1932. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present; I i Porter Bray Click Chamberlin j Vordeh3. H=-less Graves Hartle .?? ? .. The minutes of December 15t,h were read and approved. a Mr. Holmes appeared before the City. Council and reported that some individual was selling coal within the City and wanted to know if :;he-7 had been granted license. He was informed that the one re erred ; to did not have license and was requested to report the matter to the City Treasurer should there be a recurrence of the inei,4ent. The, report of the Chief of Police was presented and road. ` It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Hhrless that the report be ap- proved. The motion carried. The report of the Police judge was presented and read. 11 4- moved by Hartley and seconded by Bray that the report be approved. The motion carried. j The report of the City Treasurer was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by-Hartley that the report be approved. The motion carried. , j RESOLUTION NO. 401. Resolution No. 401, being a resolution transferring all money received for the Operating Fund from the. current taxes. I was waved b' Voxdahl and seconded by Hurle'ss that said resolution be passed and adop- ted. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and said resolution was declared passed and approved. {The amount being $1,354.26.} RE50LUTION NO. 402. Resolution No. 402, being a resolution transferring 1,600.00 from Revolving Fund No. 1 to 4peoial Improvement District No. 68 Wand, was presented and read. It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Vardahl q that said resolution be passed and adopted.. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted afire and said resolution was declared passed and adopted. An ap liceation to run the Merchants Hotel b7 B.. J. Berger:, ae- vompanied by a0.t3A band, was presented and read. It, was sae:*ed by Hartley and seconded by Hnrless that license be granted and that the band be approved. The .mo4tion carried. a petition for 'remodeling the Clod Cafe from G. ,H-. Kass was presented and read. It Was moved by Hartley and seconded by Harless that the permit be granted. The motion carried. Custodian's Receipt No. 24860 covering Yellowstone County j Bonds in the amount o'f $24;000.00 to secure the Gity deposits in the Yellowstone Bank was presented and read. It was moved 'by ehao.,erl.in and seconded by,Graves that the security be approved. The motion. -carried, Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Oustodian's Heoeipt Ro. 0123 in the amount 15,000.00 Trehs- urery Bonds and Receipt F@. 176 in the amount of $5,000.00,Treasurery Bonds to se'care City deposits in the ridland.National Bank was pre- sented ' and read. It was moved by Haxtley and seconded by Graves that the security be approved. The motion carried, The bills for the month of I)ecember were referred to the Finanee Committee and after due deliberation the committee reported back recommending the payment of the following bills: H. ;C,. It, was moved by Ada and seconded by Hurlers that their offer be accepted and` the tree C©missioner be instructed to keep them employed. .The motion Carrie. .The City clerk was instructed to get permission from the owner of the miniature- golf course, east of the City Hall. 'to remove part of the fence, which causes snow to drift along they sidewalk. It was moved by Hurlers and seconded by Graves that we do now adjourn.. The motion carried.
