Laurel, Montana,
December 11, 1933.
The City Council of the City of Lauxel met in Special
Session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall to cana.ider prep-
aration for CWA work and was called to order b7 eels: Vnrdahl,
President of the Council, at 8* 00 O clock P.M. Monday December
11th, 1933.
Upon roll call the following Aldermen answered present
Bray
Porter
E
Chamberlin
Law
Reardon
Bull
Conrad
Mr. R. A. Schwieger of Billings, appeared before the
City Council and offered to furnish his crusher and electric
motor and all repairs and one man to operate the er us her , and
the City to furnish all power, labor, gasoline a Gil for the
crusher, the price to be paid to Bar. Sehw eger would be 15V for
one inch or over gravel-and 17 for three-quarter inch gravel.
It was moved by Porter and seconded by Dull that this arrangement
be approved.. The motion carried.
R. Broughton appeared and presided during the remainder
of the meeting.
Mayor Broughton phoned r. Hagerman Mgr, of the inde-
pendent Refining Company regarding the purchase of gravel from the
Refining Company. It was agreed that the City pay the independent
Refining Company $50.00 up to twenty thousand cubic yards`. it was
moved by Dull and seconded by Reardon that this arrangement *be ap-
proved. The motion carried.
A petition signed by twenty-eight property owners in the
Fourth Ward requesting the extension of water mains and laterals in
that district under the same procedure that was folloved on Main
Street was presented and read. It vas moved by Vordahl and second-
ed by Reardon that their application be approved and that pipe and
specials for that district be ordered in addition to the amount al-
ready approved.by the Water Committee.
It, was moved by Pull and seconded by vordahl that we do
now adjourn. The motion carried.
