'Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel, Montana,
March 21, 1933.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City gall axed was called
to order by-Mayor R. Broughton at 8:00 oT clock P III Tuesday
Mar c h 21,11953.
Upon. ro11 call the following.Aldermen answered present:`

The minutes of March 7th and 8th were -read and approved.
Mr. Gardner appeared before the City Council in regard
to 'improvements to be made at his oil refinery. After some dis-
cussion,-it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hurless that the
maatter, be referred to the Fire & PQ-lice Committee. The motion
carried.
A letter from the Fire ` Marshal, regarding the Gardner
oil & Refining_ Company, was presented and read.
The report of the City Treasurer on delinquent license
was presented and roa.d.,
The City Health Officer presented a report on outside
toilets that had been requested at the last meeting. It was moved
by Hartley and seconded by porter that the report be referred to
the mater Committee. The motion carried.
An application to construct a second story on his Drug
Store by C. B. Sande 'was presented and read. It was moved by
Click and seconded by Hartley that his request be granted. The
motion carried.
The Water Commissioner`s s report of delinquent was users
was presented and read. 1
The City Clerk presented a list of persons eligible for
Poll Tax for approval of the City Council.
The Street and Alley Committee reported that they had
made arrangements with F. E. Rutter for right-of-way for a ditch
across his property in blocks 29 and 30, Fast Yellowstone Sub-
division, whereby the City was to wave the assessment for lighting
purposes in lighting District No. 2 on his property situated in
blocks 290 30 & 31 as long as owned by him. It was moved by Hartley
and seconded by Dull that the report of the Committee be accepted d
and that this arrangement be approved. The motion carried.
It was moved by Hartley and seconded by porter that we do 1
now adjourn. The motion carried.
