The City Gouncil of the City of laurel met in special Session, to consider the changes in ordinances recommended at the special meeting of February 28th, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor R. Broughton at 8 00 of c?eek P. M. March. 1, 1933. Upon x811 call the following Aldermen answered present; Bra Porter Chamberlin I Click Hurlers Dull I ORDINANCE NO. 317. Ordinance No. 317, being an ordinance fixing the salary of the City Attorney was presented and;FpG}. After some discussion, it was referred to the Committee?to Avise the schedule and wages after due deliberation, th of salaries- and, e Committee reported beck recommending its immediate passage. it was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by 'Bull that the report. of the Committee be adopted and that unaminous eonsent and vote of the Council-be had to place Ordinance Noy. 317 upon its immed- iate passage. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye. it was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Pali that said Ord- inance No. 317 be passed and adopted. Upon roll call, all Alder- men present voted aye and said Ordinance No. 317 was declared passed and adopted. 1 ORDIN-MCE 1?0. 318. Ordinance No. 318, being an ordinance fixing the salary of Aldermen was presented and read. After some discuss- ion, it was referred -to the Gommittee?- appointed to reprise the schedule of salaries and wages and, after due deliberation, the Committee reported bxrq} recommending its immediate passage It was moved by Bull and seconded by Porter that the report of the Committee be adopted and that unaminous consent and vote of the Council be had to place Ordinance No. 314 upon its immediate passage. ORDINANCE r?O. 319. i Ordinance %o. 319, being an ordinance fixing the salary of Mayor was presented and read. After some discussion, it was referred to the Committee afointed to revise the s'ehedtLle of salaries and wages and, after due deliberation, the cornet reported back recommending its immediate passage. it was`.moved by Porter and seconded by Dull that the report of the Committee be adapted and that the unaminous consent and vote of the Council { be had to place Ordinance No. 339 upon its immediate passage: 1 Upon roll call, Aldermen Porter, Chamberlin, Glick, Huxless and Dull voted aye and Aldermen Bray voted no. Whereupon said, Ord- inance No. 319 was duly read by the City Clerk the first time and placed upon its passage. It was moved by Dull and seconded by Porter that Ordinen.ee No. 319 be passed. Upon roll call, Alder- men Porter, Chamberlin, Click, Hurless and Bull voted aye and Alderman Bray voted no and the said Ordinance No. 319 was declar- ed passed on first reading. ORDINANCE NO. 320. 1 Ordinance No. 320, being an ordinance fixing the salary of Health officer was presented and read. After .some discussion, it was referred to the Committee appointed to revise the schedule of salaries and wages, and after due deliberation r the Committee reported back recommending its immediate passage.
