February 21, 1933.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
resin in the Council Chanter in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor R. Broughton at 8-0 of cloek P. X. February
21, 1933.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present:

Chamberlin

Vordahl
Hartle
Pull
The minutes of February 7th were read and approved.
The report of the City Clerk for the month of January
was presented and read. it, was moved by Vordah3 and seconded
by Dul that-the report be approved. The motion carried.
It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Vordahl that
a Committee be appointed to investigate the jail. The motion
carried. Thereupon the Mayor appointed Vordahl., Hartley and
Chamberlin.

The bill of the Billings Gas Company for $59.70 that
had been held up at the last regular meeting was presented. It
was moved by Voraahl and spoonded by Hartley that the bill be
allowed. The motion carried.
The Mayor stated that he had appointed the City At-
toxney and. City Treasurer as a committee to serve with him in
the purchase of City bonds and stated that he would call a
eonnail `meeting in case.9f- any proposition being submitted
worthy of Council eonsidetation. I
Mr, Porter arrived and .participated in the further
deliberations of the council.
After some `discussion of the ,drainage situation, it
was moved by Vordahl and seconded: by Chamberlin that the street
Committee, City Attorney and City Engineer be authorized to a.p-
. pr ove or disapprove the contract submitted by the V. P. Railway
Company. The motion carried.
it was moved by Hartley and seconded by Dt ll that the
city Bugineer ask for center-line of proposed bridges in order
that wotic on the ditches might be started as soon as an agree-
ment was reached. The motion carried.
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that
the City Clerk write the State Highway commission at Helena
regarding rules and regulations for load's over the highway.
The motion carried.
It was moved by Vordsahl and seconded by Hartley that
the Mayor appoint a committee to revise the schedule of salaries
and wages. The motion carried. Thereupon, the Mayor appointed
Vvrd.ahl, Porter, Chamberlin and Hartley j
