The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor R. Broughton at 8:00 o'clock.P.,M. Tuesday October 16, 1934. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present: Bray Bidwell Law Vordahl Reardon Hartley Conrad The minutes of October 2nd were read and approved. Mr. Anderson appeared in regard to a building permit for the :free Methodist Church on Lots 11 and 12, Bloch 9, Nutting Subdivision. Tier. Hartley and Mr. Conrad reported that they had received a number of objections to the building permit. Thereupon, it was moved by Hartley and seconded by Bray that the application be rejected. The motion carried. An application of B. j. Rybin for the remodeling of his blacksmith shop was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that it be returned for further information. The motion carried. An application by the School Board to place and remodel a refrigerating car on the Athletic Park was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Law that their request be granted. The motion carried. An application by A. B. Kirk for a license to operate a laundry was presented and real. It was moved by Vordahl and second- ed by Conrad that his request be granted. The motion carried. It was moved by Bartley and seconded by Reardon that the City buy ten-twelfths of lots 13,14 &e 15, Block 1, East Laurel Subdivision, for the implement shed. The motion carried. It. was moved by Bidwell and seconded by Conrad that we do now adjourn. The motion carried. i i Approved this 6th clay of November, ATTEST
