The Gity Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall to hear ;protests
on the budget fox the 'ensuing year- and was
called to order by Mayor R- Broughton at 8.00 of elock p.. M. Wed-
nesday August 6, 1934.
Upon roll cell the following Aldermen a wered present:
Bray
Bidwell
Gum
Law
V or dahl
Reardon
Conrad
The City ale:rk -or o&,aced proof of publication of notice
of the meeting for hearing protests on the budget far the ensuing
year. After reviewing the budget, it was moved by Conrad and
seconded by Sidwell that the budget be approved. She motion
carried.
The mill levy for the ensuing year for general and
specific; purposes was discussed.It etas. moped by` Ga m and seconded
by Conrad that the levy be as follows
