The City you i1 of the City of Laurel met in special session in the Cownbo l Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor R. Broughton at 8;06 O'clock P. 11. Tuesday July 24th, 19349 to consider the budget. Upon roll ball _ _the - f-o-1 loving Aldermen ajswered present Bray Sid-well Lava Gum Vordahl Reardon I Conrad Hartley it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Law that the City refund the firemen 45.00 that they donated towards the fire truck. The motion After-some discussion of the park budget, it was moved' by Hartley and seconded by Law that the budget be fixed at $850,0©. t, The motion carried. The City Council reviewed the estimates submitted by the different officers of the City for the 1934 budget and after malting various changes in the budget,; it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by yaw that the preliminary budget be approved and the Clerk be instructed to publish notice in the Laurel Outlook. The motion eazried, It was reported that one of the police had spent con- siderable time within the carnival grounds and that arrangements with the American Legion Post-was that the Leg onaires do the policing of the carnival gr ound:s . It was moved by Sid-well and seconded by Bray that the Police be instructed to remain on the streets. The motion carried. It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The , motion carried.
