The City Council of the City of Laurel met in Special Session in the Council Chamber in the City Fall to consider water mains and CPA work and was called to ox der by jdayor R. Bx ought©n at 8.00 P. 11. Friday January 5, 1934. Upon roll call the following Aldermen answered present: Bray Porter, Chamber lain law I Vorda hl Reardon Dull Conrad r. Rexry, ir. Johnson and mr. Harrison appeared be- fOre the City Council in regard to the location of the water main serving Block 19 & 20 Nutting Subdivision. A petition was read. Ater some discussion., it was moved by Dull and seconded by Vordahl that the action taken at the last meeting regarding this matter be xeconsidered. All Aldermen present voted aye. Thereupon, it was moved by Dull and seconded by Reardon that, the pipe be located in accordance with the first plans submitted. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye. A bill fox J. P. Jackson by the Union Central Life Insurance Company, in the amount of $50.00, for rightofWay-along the river, was presented. and read. It was moved by Voxdahl and seconded by Porter that the bill be allowed. The motion carried. Estimate No. 1 and final for 1933 Water, Mein Street, was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Reardon that the eAtimate be approved. The motion carried. 1rr. Kiedrowski appeared before the City Council in re- Bard to an easement for a eater line. It was moved by Dull and seconded by Reardon that an easement be granted. The mot'io'n carried. It was moved by Porten and seconded-by Dull that an easement bey secured from E. B. Conrad and A. G. Leis for rightof away for water main on the line between their properties. The motion carried. i After some discussion of additional water mains, it was moved by Porter and seconded by Dull that the City order three additional cars of pipe, the placing of which to be determined later. The motion carried. It was moved by Law and seconded by Dull that a sill culvert be constructed at the curve on South First Avenue. The motion carried. After some discussion of the budget, it was moved by Law and seconded by Dull that the city Attorney and City Clerk be instructed to prepare for an additional budget to cover-ex- penses authorized.
