Decamber 27, 1955
The City Council of the City Of Laurel met in Special
session in the CouAcil 'Ohambers in,the City Hall, and was called
to order by Mayor Broughton at 7.34 P. M. December 279 19 5, to
consider an agreement' with the Higbway Commission of the State of
Montana whereby the City will furnish power and electricity for
running the pump to be installed u underpass,and electricity for
lighting and lighting- equipment to light the, -underpass,,*, an:d other matteto*
Upon Roll Call the following aldermen answered present.

.After some 'discussion of the underpass, the Mayor appointed
a Committee from the Counsil to take care of business of underpass, the
Mayor to be Chairman. Motion was made by Bray,and seconded by Smith.
Upon Roll.gall all. aldermen Voted yes. The motion carried

A Resolution providing for an agreement with the Highway
ommission.of -the State of ztana and the State, whereby the city will
furnish power•-•`iu?d electricity for running the pump to be installed in
the tuAerpass and electricity for-1Girl g--And .lighting equipment to
light the underpass, was presented and read,. It was moved by Vordahi
and, seconded by Conrad that Resolution ITo., 4.?_kbe passed and adopted.
Upon Roll Cali all aldermen., sated Aye and. .sai .. 4e84ation was unanimously
passed and adapted.
A bill from the Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. in the
amount of $2206.6.5 was presented for payment, lty.nae moved by Vordahl
and seconded by Bray that the- bill be paid. The motion carried,,
The Mayor reported that he had appointed Henry Herbert to
act as Chief of Police until _the next Council meeting, to take the place
of Wm. fly who had resigned. It was moved by Tkaw. and'seconded by Smith
that the t.r 'bo approved. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn, The ,
motion carried,
