Laurel, ntana, September 17, 1935.
The city council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chambers in the pity Hall, and was called to
order by Mayor R. Broughton at 8-.00 o=:Qlook, P. M. September 17, 1935,
Upon *11 call the following aldermen answered present.

The minutes of sieptember 3rd and September 5th were read
and approved.
The Treasurer's report for, the month, of August was presented
and read. It was moved by Y ,rdahl and seconded by" Law tbAt the report be
approved. iahe'motion carried.
The Treasurer? s delinquent license report was presented
and read. It was moved by 0onrad and. seconded by Tovda.hl that the report
be approved. The motion carried.
The` Water Commissioner=a.. report for the month of,,A Bast
was presented and read , After some discussion it wa.s, moved by ordahl
and seconded by Law that the report be approved., The motion carried.
An application was made by the S. 0, 8. Garage for permission j
to install a new pump beside the one already in on the East SiAs of time
driveway. It was moved by Vardahl and seconded by Reardon that the permit
be granted, The motion carried.
An application was made by M. Q. 3?den for a permit to
build a 22' ft. cement wall on the Borth side of lots 8, 9 and 10 in Block
1-2 Laurel fealty It was moved by Vo-rdahl and seconded by Smith that
the permit be held up. The motion carried. ?? 3a,r-
An application was made by J. D. 3ier for a permit to build w

a log house 28 by 28 on Lots 9 and 10 in Block 11. Yellowstone Sub, Division
to cost around 16800.00. After some discussion it was moved by Conrad and ?
seconded by Hartley that his application be held up pending imvestigation
of what kind of foundation he would put in. The motion carried,
An application was made by J. Batt for a permit to enlarge
his house by building do two new rooms to cost around 4700,00. It was
tmxed by Vordahl and seconded by Saw that his " permit be granted. The motion
carried..

An.application was made by B. L,. Price for a permit to build
an addition la by 26 ft. on dwelling douse situate on Lot 17 in Block 2 of
Laurel 'Realty Sob Division at an approximate cost of 4250.00. It was moved
by Law and seconded by Reardon that the `permit be granted. The motion
carried.
An application was made by Geo. Smith for a permit to build
a new building 30 by 50 :ft, cement flooi and foundation, stucco ;outside,
fireproof roof,. to cost around #25030.00. It was mob*d by gaga and seconded
by Reardon that the permit be granted. The motion earried,
ordinance No* 341
Ordinance No, 341 being an ordinance amending ordinance No.
228 entitled "Revised Ordinances, of the Oity of Laurel" relating to Licensing
certain Occupations, Industries; Trades,, pursuits and Professions in tae
0ity of Laurel, and requiring payment of a License fee, was presented and
read. It was moved by Law and seconded by Qordahl that Ordinance No. 341
be passed upon its First reading. Up@n roll call, all aldermen present
voted Aye and said Ordinance NQ. 34 was declared' passed upon its first
reading.

The street Committee reported recommending that a NO g T'UIN
sign-be placed at the end of First Ave at the intersection of First Street.
It was moved by Conrad and, seconded by Smith that the report be approved
and that the Street Commissioner be instructed to have sign erected. 'The
motion carried:.
The Police Committee reported that Officer on duty the night
of August 29th who could not be located, was at 2?. 0. S. %arage trying to
get Central.
The City Attorney was instructed to draw up petitions for
special election. _
It was moved by Reardon and seconded by Bidwell that we do
now adjourn,
