HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecial City Council Minutes 07.23.1935----------- -- Minutes of the City Council of Laurel + Laurel, duly 23, 1935 The City Council of the City of Laurel met in special session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called to order by Fels Y©rdahl, President of the Council at 8 olcloek P, M, July-23rd, 1935, to consider the ,Budget,, Upon Hall call the following aldermen answered presents Vordahl Hartley Smith Conrad Bray S idwel l Law Dr. Broughton appeared and ptesided dating the remainder ? ' After some -discussion it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that the Budget be a proved as submitted by the committee. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted .dye and the. Mayor declared the motion passed, after some discussio regarding the Garbage Fund, it was moved by Conrad and seconded by ordahl that it be divided into two Funds to be iinown as Garbage Dist No. 1 Main Street, to include the South Hal of Blocks One, Two and Three, East Ixam?e?.: and one to Four, Laurel Realty also to include its on First :.k7e?44e; &b at ti - ock:;f ? st:Yl re, r 'a ? ]?-iock One. Laurel :$i?;alty --and the levy to be 3.Q© per lot.. The other ?and to be known as Garbage Dist Low 2 and the levy be 50? per lot. The motion carried. It was moved by Vord.ahl and seconded by Oonrad that the amou3?1 in Budget of Garbage Dist No 1 be < 180 00 and the amount of Garbage bast. µ No. 2 be ?850.bo. The motion carried. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Smith that the Budget be approved as submitted by the Budget Oommittee, and 61-gft bo al, 1 instructed to publish notice in the laurel Outlook. up-on-x, ':ca 1r-? aldermen present voted Aye and the Mayor declared the motion passed.
