The City Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, and was
called to. grder by Mayor Broughton at 8 O clock P, M, June 11
1935 to elect .a Police Judge to fill vacancy caused by the death
of R. Vritz and to consider other matters.

Lam
Hartley
Smith
Reardon

Vordahl
T-he resignation of F. C. Sche decker as Alderman from
the seeond ward was presented and read. It was moved by Hartley
and seconded by Smith that his resignation be accepted. I
It was moved by Law and seconded by FQrdahl that F. C.
Scheidecker be elected Police Judge to fill vacancy'Ddused by
the death of R. Fritz. Upon Roll Call all aldermen present,
voted .afire and F. C. Scheidecker was declared elected to the
Office of Police Judge.
After some discussion it was moved by Conrad and seconded
by Vordahl that Mr. Law recommend a man to be elected alderman
from the second ward at the next meeting. Upon Roll Call Sidwell Smith haw, Conrad and Yordahl voted Aye and Hartley, and 12ear do n
voted No. The motion carried.
Mr. Conrad, Chairman of the Police Committee, reported
that there is delinquent licenses due in the anount of $550,00
and recommended that the City Treasurer and the City Attorney
be instructed to proceed to collect delinquent licenses. -The j
motion carried.
It was moved by 96mrad and seconded by Hartley that we
do now adJ oarn.
