Broughton at 8:00 otcloci P. M. April 30, 1935 to consider Salaries of Office help, PaxE:s and other matters, Upon-roll calf the following aldermen answered present: Brag . Bidwell . Lai - Sciheidecter . Reardon Conrad gordahl The Committee appointed to study the office work recom- mended that the C°lerk's office :be separated from the office of Water Commissioner and City EI ngineer, and that to the salary- of the city Clerk of 0500.0(} there be added 000.00 in addition for clerical and stenographic work, and that the City Treasurer be employed to do typing abd clerical work for tho e f d different artmente of the G.it ` rent - per year as provided by ©r:c nan e, and an that to his additional $440-.-GO salara -year be paid for other services rend.et , And ttat ,t.he City Employee >znown as the leading man be abe bad ate. the yc?r a po3nt a1 Cit$ :engineer who will perform. tb-- --duties of Street omm sal6ner -Saivex ? It was moved bar Vordahl and seconded by Reardon that the report of the` Committee be adopted.. She motion carxied. It was moved _.by 4ordahl and seconded by Bray that the City Attorney ble zequestUd to draft Ordinance pxoviding for the changes recommended by the Committee. The motion carried. It was moved by Voxdahl and seconded by Law that the Committee be discharged. The motion carried. After some discuRsion of the water tank, it was mowed by Fordahl &4 seconded by 5cheideoter that the price be changed for. the 'lease- q' tank from 25? to 50?. fte motion carried. After some discussion of the alley between in treet and Fix t Street West of Third: Avenue it was moved by Law and s'eednded b onrad that the matter' be referred to the Street and .Alley committee. The motion carried. After some discussion of the passibility of wideming min Street East of First Avenue, it was moved by Vordahl and se bn.ded by Genrad that the first row of trees be cut down.
