AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, TO REPEAL A SUBSECTION OF
SECTION 17.40.090 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED OFF-STREET
PARKING REQUIREMENTS - PROCEDURE - SPECIFICATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to keep the Laurel Municipal Code current and
enforceable by eliminating sections and subsections no longer in use; and
WHEREAS, this portion of the Code is outdated and unnecessary; and
WHEREAS, deletion of this subsection will allow the City to require parking space in the front,
if deemed prudent and necessary in the future.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA,
Section 17.40.090(A)(3) of the Laurel Municipal Code is hereby repealed as follows:
17.40.090 Off-street parking requirements-Procedure-Specifications.
A. Dwellings.
1. Single-family and two-family dwellings - Two spaces for each dwelling unit,
2. Multiple-family dwellings - One and one-half spaces for each dwelling unit,
This Ordinance becomes effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on
February 3-, 2009, by Council Member Wilkins
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this 17th day of
March , 2009, upon motion of Council Member Dickerson
APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 17th day of March , 2009.
