AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, TO REPEAL A PORTION OF
TABLE 17.20.020 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED BREWERIES,
ALCOHOLIC DISTILLATION AND TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW SECTION
ENTITLED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, MANUFACTURING AND BOTTLING.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to attract prospective businesses to the City of
Laurel and create opportunities for such businesses by allowing alcohol beverage manufacturing
and bottling in expanded zoning districts with certain limitations and exceptions; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the residents of the City of Laurel to adopt this
Ordinance to provide for uniform and orderly growth for the City in accordance with the Laurel-
Yellowstone City-County Planning Board Growth Management Policy.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL,
MONTANA, Table 17.20.020 of the Laurel Municipal Code is hereby repealed and replaced as
follows:

This Ordinance becomes effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City Council
and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on
February 3 , 2009, by Council Member stamper
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this 17th day
of March , 2009, upon motion of Council Member Mace
