The City Clert read the call of the meeting and produced proof of
-publication of notice of the meeting to hear protests on the budget for
the ensuing y ear .

The budget was revievaed and it was moved by L. L. Smith and seconded
by Bray the City Treasurers budget be increased 4100.00 for the printing
of tax boo s. 'he motion carried.
It was moved by Vlooters and seconded by Thomson the Garbage Dist2ict
To. 1 budget be increased to ;49'7.00. The motion carried.
It was moved by 1. 11. Smith and seconded by I. Smith the Garbage
District 1,110. 2 budget be increased to .;;'750.00. The motion carried.
Taayor Broughton returned and -presided.
After discussion it was moved by Lava and seconded by I. 17. Smith .b he
Police Ddpartment's budget be approved as submitted. Upon roll call
Conrad, Thomson and ":rooters voted no, u. L. Smith, laIR, Bray, I. 1T. Smith
and Reardon voted aye and the motion vaas declared passed.
After some discussion it was moved by'Vooters and seconded by Bray
that Riverside paxt as a whole be accepted. Upon roil call all aldermen
present voted aye /and the motion was declared passed.

aldermen present voted aye and the motion was declared passed..

tax levy for the library het be two mills and one mill be levied in the
General +'vnd to replace money used out of the ;:,ibraxy y?und last year for
operating expenses. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and
the motion vaas declared passed.
It ryas moved by 1 ;?. Smith and seconded by Thomson the budget for
Damages and judgments be omitted from the budget. The motion carried.

approved. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and the motion
was declared passed.

special tax against certain property, designated as r,arbage District 3To.?,
for the removal of Garbage, Snow, Vxeeds and Refuse vaas -oresented and read.
It vfas moved by 'Anrad and seconded by Thomson Resolution ro. 461 be
provisionally passed. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and
said :resolution was declared provisionally passed.

Resolution Ho. 462, being. a resolution levying and assessing a special
tax against certain "property, designated as Garbage District 1To. 21 for the

provisionally ,passed. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and
said Resolution vtas declared provisionally passed.

Resolution Yo. 4632 being a resolution levying and assessing all of the
property embraced within Special Imp-roverflent Lighting ;district i,T 1 of the
City of Laurel, rontana, with three-fourths of the entire cost of _:aintenance
and electric current for the year 1936, was -presented and read. It was
-moved by 1:. L. 6mith and seconded by Thomson Resolution' lo. 463 be pro-
visionally passed. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and said
resolution was declared provisionally passed.

City of Laurel, ITontana, with three-fourths of the entire cost of T ainter_ance

moved by leardon and seconded by Bray -Resolution lTo. 464 be provisionally
_,_assed. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted are and said reso1 t ion
was deela:ied provisionally passed.

the Oity engineer asked for per-mission to borrow cement from the
reservoir p o jeer for use at riverside =ark. It was roved by Law and second-
ed by ;eardon the request be granted. The motion carried.
