U, March 3rd, 1936, Upon Roll Call the following aldermen answered pxesent, Vo r da hl Hartley Smith Conrad Bray Sidwell Reardon Law The minutes of February 18th were read and approved. The report of the Police Judge for the month of February was presented and read. It was moved by $ardahl and seconded by Reardon that the report be accepted and placed on file. The motion carried. The Treasurer's report for the month of February was presented and reed. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Reardon that the report be approved. "11? motion carried, MT, Bert Sammons of Billings appeared before the City Co,ncil in regard to his bill far15.75 for Sulpherie Acid for Fire F-'Z:tinguishers. Mayor Brou h-tan asked the purchasing committee to meet with Mr. Sammons. The.;:Commit,ee reported bact recommending the payment of the bill. it was moved by Sidwell and seconded by Hartley that the bill for '5.75 be allowed. The motion carried. mr. Sammons also brought up the matter of selling to the Fire Department two five gal pumps. The matter was referred tQ the Fire Chief, Tyr. Chas. Rodgers and Hx, Ira Rodgers appeared before the Council and asked that the dirt removed from the new underpass be, put on their property and on the property of several others in the east end of town, Mayor Broughton stated:` that he would take the matter up with tike Oontractar for the Underpass. Mr. Ira Rodgers asked for permit to erect a frame house on Lots 11 and 12, Block 149, Nutting Subdivision, building t€3 be, 1'2 ,ft by 16 ft House to be modern, cpnnected with sewer and water. Approximate cast "300 plus labor. It etas moved, by Law and seconded by Reardon that the permit be granted. The motion carried. Mr. Chas. Rodgers asked fora permit to remodel present building on lots 13-14-159P Block 13, Nutting, ub,division, addition to be 12 by 94 ft approximate cost to be 4300 plus labor. It was moved by Conrad and seconded by Law that the permit be' granted. The motion carried. EESOLUTION RO. 457 Resolution Ro. 457 being a Resolution. providing for an issuance of $11,0000 Refunding Bonds of the City of Laurel, for levying taxes to pay the principal and -thterest thereof., confirming sale thereof, and providing for the- details of said issue and declaring an emergency, was. presented and read. It was moved by Conrad and seconded: by aedon that 4soluti>on Eo. 457 be passed and adopted. Upon Roll Call all -ald.e-2men present voted Aye and said Resolution was declared passed and adopted. Hr. price, City Atto-xney, brought_ up ttze matter of printing Bonds He reported that he had prices from Laurel Outlook and other firms, and that there was very little differenc in the prices. It was moved by Vardahl and seconded by Conrad that the City Clerk be taa.thor-i-ted to have the Laurel Outlook print Bonds. Upon Roll Call, all aldermen present ? d Aye and the motion carried. A letter was read from the City Treasurer regarding answering letters and miring information to Bond-Houses and Banks regarding financial condition of City of Laurel. The Mayor declared the information could be aired collect and letters answered giving information , A letter was read. from. Allis Chalmers &?arjgf??taring Company quoting price of '415.00'. 0. B. ?dilutree, for repairs to pump '#10957.
