The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor Broughton at 7: 30 oclock P. M. February 18th,
1936.
Upon Roll Call the following aldermen answered present.

The minutes of February 4th were read and approved.
The report of the City Water Commissioner for Ithe month
-of January was presented and read. it was moved by Vordahl and
seconded by Lava that the report be approved and placed on file.
The motion carried, _
Mrs. R. P. Palmer appeared before the Council regarding
Recreational Project and skating rink, provided lb.ts could be se
cured for skating rink, and asked the Council to sponsor project.
After some discussion, Mayor Broughton appointed the Park Committee
to meet with Mrs. Palmer across the gall and go 80 he
emmend ans. T.
Conrad, Chairman of the Park Committee reported
the N, P. A, pbtain permission from the landowner and written permit
from Harry Richardson in the form of release for any damage to ditch.,
same to be filed with the City Clerk, alsothat the City would not be
held responsible for any damage or expense, It was moved by Yordahl
and seconded by Law that the report of the Committee be accepted:,
The motion carried,
it was moved by Conrad and seconded by Reardon that ISrs.
Palmer's permit be granted and that the City would 'sponsor recreational
Project, provided there would be no Oity expense, Upon Roll ball, all
aldermen present voted Aye and the motion carried„
This being the time set , for receiving bids for $13,,000 Refund-
ing Bonds, Series 1936, the Clerk was instructed to dpen and receive
all bids. The only bid submitted was of-the 'Yellowstone Bank of `Laurel
Vbn.tana, its bid for the entire issue of 11,000 was par and interest
at 4% from January 1, 1936. Said;bid to bear interest at the rate of
4% per annum from January Vs; 11936, This being-the highest and best
bid received, it was moored by Vordaahl and seconde'?d by'Law that the bid
of The Yellowstone Bank of Laurel, Fontana be accepted and that the
entire issue of the -$11,000 Refunding Serial Bonds be sold to the said
Yellowstone Bank a'y the price of said bid. Upon Roll Call,; all aldermen
present voted Aye and the motion carried.
It was moved, by Law'and seconded by Reardon that we do. now.
