The motion carried., A letter from the Montana Municipal League and the minutes of the meeting held December 9th and loth were presented and read.. The City Attorney also reported on the resul.tz of the meeting. 'visited the d.ispursing room and saw a number of Laurel clients obtaining '' clothing. .After some discussion it was moved by Thomson and seconded. by Geo, Smith that the city continue to furnish light in the neer quarters but not to exceed the amount of $3..00 per month. Thomson, Chairman of the Light & eater Committee, reported that they had agreed to put in four lights on First Street, The omm.ercial Club was to make e the installation. It was moved by Geo, Smith and seconded by Vlooters that the property affected be charged. in Lighting District No.. 2. The motion carried.. It was also reported that the expense of the lights come out of the Miscellaneous budget until the end of the year, Mr. Thomson reported that the Street and Alley Cor ittee met with a committee from. the Woman's Club in regards to garbage disposal and that the connAttee from the Woman's Club agreed to circulate petitions in which those interested weld pay a certain sure estimated at five or ten cents a week and see if there were enough will to warrant that service. It was moved by Law and seconded by Gomer the report of the committee be accepted, The motion carried:. The City Attorney was instructed to draft such. petitions.
