November 1, 1938
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session
in the Council Chamber and was called to order by Dr. I. . Smith.,
President of the Council, at 7 .• 3o o1clock P. M. November 15, 1938
Upon roll call the following aldermen answered present

Graves

Geo, H. Smith
r1h.e minutes of November lst were read and approved.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of October was
presented and. read, It was moved by Lair and seconded by 8coarse the
report be approved, The motion carried,
mr Geo , H. Smith arrived and participated in the further
deliberation of the meeting,
The report of the City Water Dept , for the month. of October was
presented and read. It was moved by $coarse and seconded by Thomson
the report be approved, The motion carried,
The report of the City Clerk for the mon th. of October was pre .
sent ed and read. It was moved by Thomson and seconded by $coarse the

report be approved, The motion carried,
An application for a permit to retail liquor by Wright and LothM
ringer, a partnership, at 111 West.. Main 8t . , was presented and read,
It was moved by Wooters and seconded by Geo, Smith the application for
a permit be approved and the City Clerk be authorized to issue the
City License when the State license has been secured. The motion
carried,
The first estimate of the Nilson -Smith C;onstruotion Company on
P* W. A, Project No. Montana 1148_ for $15,262,30, less 10retained
percentage, amount due §13,736.87,, was presented and read,, It was
moved by footers and seconded by Geo. Smith the estimate be approved
and warrant dram in payment thereof on Construction Funds P. W. A
Project No. Montana 1148-F. The motion carried,,
Bills presented and approved by the Finance Cfo mitt a were as
follows: J. J. Krug $50,00, N* P. Railway Co. $30,92., Yellowstone
(County treasurer $98,5x. It was moved. by $coarse and seconded. by
Graves the bills bd paid, The motion carried,
An application for a permit by J, S. Brohaugh to add a room size
14 lB, concrete foundation at 106 Fifth Avenues was presented and. read.,
It was moved by Thomson and seconded by coarse the permit be granted.
The motion carried..
An application for a permit by 0* A. Broh.augh to add a room size
7x .4, concrete foundation, at 318 First avenue, was I
presented and read.
It was mored by Law and seconded by Thomson the permit be granted, The
motion carried,
It was moved and seconded we do now adjourn, The motion carried.
