The City Council of the City of Laurel met in an adjourned regular
session in the Council Chamber and was called to order by h4ayor Conrad
at 7:30 o'clock F. ML. September 221, 19384

This being the time set for receiving bids for the construction of
1111ater Mains and Appurtenances thereto, more fully described in the Plans
and Specifications of To A* Rigneyo City Engineer, located at Laurel,
Montana., 1",Ai'VA, Docket Montana 1148-F. The City Clerk produced proof
of publI
*cation in the Laurel Outlo-ok and was directed to open and
receive all bids, The follova;

-t After discussion and with the consent of the Council the Mayor
declared a recess for the consideration of the bids by the Council,
After cons ideriong all bids., the Council decided that the bid of the
Nilson -Smith Construction Company was the lowest and best bid received
and that 11t s1n.ould be awarded the contract subject to approval of PWA.0
Thereupon it inias moved by Thomson and- seconded by Dr. Smith that
the bid of the Nilson -Smith Construction Company be accepted, and that
the contract be awarded to the said company, subject to the approval
of R. A. Radford., Regional Director., PlAUA. The motion carried.
It was --nioved by Thomson and seconded by Geo, Smith the City Clerk
be directed, to return check -s to Plan Holders upon return of plans and
sp ec if icat ionso 'ilhe motion carried.
A letter from E. J. Prescott Company, Tvrlinneapolis, Minn. was
preseiited and read, relative to the unsold general obligation Street
Bonds. After discussion it was moved by Thomson and seconded by Geo,
Smith a letter be written explaining the matter, The motion carried.,
it was moved and seconded il-,ie do now adjourn until 5#00 otclock
P. 11. September 24, 1938. The motion carried,
