M. Monday, August 8, 1938 This being the time for canvassing the returns of the special Bond Election held in the City of Laurel on August 6,- 1938 and pursuant to the requirements of the Revised Codes of the State of Montana, the City Council met as a canvassing board for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the Special Bond. Election Meld in the City of Laurel, Montana on ugust 6 , 1938, Mayor Conrad presiding,,. Upon roll call the following aldermen answered present Dr. I, N. Sraith I Geo„ H. smith D. I. Election held August 6, 1938 s aldermen Geo, H. smith., 0. J. Woters and. D. I. scoarse . The Tellers having opened and canvassed the said returns, reported as follows: Shall. the 3 debt limit be extended and the Oita` Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, be authorized to incu.rr an indebtedness of said City in excess of said limit by issuing in the name of said City its negotiable Genera. Upon roll call all alder- men present voted. "aye" and the motion was decl. Lred. passed, Alderman Geo. H. Mr. Graves arrived and participated in the further deliberation of the meeting, Dr. Smith left the meeting. After discussion it was moved by Geo. The motion carried, After discussion in regards to a right of way for laying the neer grater line to the river, it was moved by ScopLrse and seconded. by Thomson the City Clerk be directed to make application for right of way from the P. and others, The motion carried, RESOLUTION NO, 505 Resolution No. 505, being a resolution providing for the sale and issuance of "General Water Bonds,, City of Laurel., Montana,, Series 195811 in the , a.ount of Fort? Thousand. Dollars, was presented and read. It was moved by Graves and seconded by Geoo Smith Resolution No. 505 be passedand adopted.. upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and the resolution was declared passed and adopted. Minutes of the City Council of Laurel AU82USt 8p 1938 - continued Me RESOLUTION NOo 506 Resolution No* 506 being a resolution providing for the sale and issuance of "General Sewer Bonds., City of Laurel Montana" in the amount of Six Thousand Dollars, was presented and read. It was moved by Graves and seconded by Gomer Resolution No. 506 be passed and adopted, Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and the resolution was declared passed and adopted, RESOLUTION No. 507 Resolution No. 507, being a resolution providing for the sale and issuance of "General Street Bonds, City of Laurelo Montana,," in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars, was pre sented�'aand read. It was moved by Gomer and seconded by Geo, Smith Resolution No. 507 be passed and adopted. Upon roll call all aldennen present voted aye and the resolition was declared passed and adopted, Mr. Thornson presented the matter of Chfte Gjefle wanting permission to construct a temporary blacktop sidewalk along the westli side of Lot 10, Block 23, Laurel Realty Second Subdivisiono iter discussion it was moved by Scoarse and seconded by Graves the matter be referred to the Street and Alley Committee with authority to act.
