the Council Chamber and was called to order by Mayor Broughton at 7,030 o f elocl

The minutes of March is t were read and approved.,
The report of the City Water Department 'for the month of February
was presented and read. . It was moved by Law and secorid.ed by Scoarse the
report be approved.. The motion carried.,
Francis Tinnes, made application for an exterisiorl of six raoiiths
time on his building permit in order to completed. It was moved by Conrad
and seconded by Gomer the ex e s i.o i of time be granted. The mo ion carried,

garage at 502 rah Avenue was presented and. read, It was moved by Law
and seconded by Woofers the permit be granted. The motion carried.
An application for a permit by Daniel Rehm to remodel dwelling
by adding two rooms, cement block f a nd at .ora at 203 West Avenue to cost
approximately 40o,.00 was presented and read. It was moved bbd,,. Thomson and
seconded. by Geo • Smith the permit be granted.. The motion carried,
An application for a pent by Alex, Prank to remodel dwelling
by adding rooms, 12x25, concrete basement at 40Yellowstone Avenue to cost
approximately $400.00 was presented and read. It was moved by Conrad and
seconded by Geo,mith the permit be granted.,. The motion carried,,
.n application for a permit by Francis Tinnes to erect a frame
garage size 1.4x22, sill foundation on Lots 3 and 4# Block 14, Nutting addition.,
was presented and read.. After discussion in regards to the foundation it was
moved by Geo. Smith and seconded b Gomer the pemit be rejected* The
motion carried,,

Laurel Re l Subdivision., " presented and read.. It was moved by Conrad
and seconded by woofers the permit be granted, The motion carried,
Property owners petitioned the City Council to have the City
construct and lay a two inch cast iron water main on Pennsylvania Avenue
between Fifth. and Sixth Streets, in which petition they agreed to have a
cost of $10.00 per lot assessed i the same manner as Special. Improvement
District assessments are levied over a period. not exceeding five years
It was moved by Thomson and seconded by Geo, Smith the petitions be
accepted and. the work c onme c d. as soon as possible,* The motion carried,
Mr. Thomsonp Chairman of the Water er onwittee, presented the matter
of the, School Board desiring to continue their water line one block east
from the center bf the athletic field and if possible, they wanted the WPB.
labor to extend the lire on school property under the city project., . The
City :engineer reported that the WPA office had agreed to this arrangemn .
It was moved by Conrad and seconded. by Geo, Smith permission be granted to
continue the water line under the city project and that the city charge the
usual. 7% as charged to improvement districts s for engineering and incidental

It was moved by Conrad and seconded. by ;coarse petitions for
installation of water naijas on Colorado, Pennsylvania and Washington avenues
be approved subject to the filing of petitions considered sufficient by the
Water Oommittee. The motion carried.
The Water Committee presented the mattdr of enlargingthe WPA
water works project to include approximately 9600 feet of two, four and six
