A letter from the City Attorney asking for a leave of absence rope the state nor two weeks was presented and read,► 1t was moved by Law and seconded by Conrad the leave of absence be granted.. The motion carried, The Mayor asked for a leave of absence,. It was moved by Gomer and seconded by Wooters the leave of absence be granted.. The motion carried. The report of the Police officers for the month of February was presented and. read. It was moved by Lair and seconded by Scoarse the report be approved. The motion carried. The motion carried, The report of the City Treasurer for the month of February was presented and read.. It was moved by Scoarse and: seconded. by Thomson the report be approved.. The motion carried. Smith arrived and participated in the further deliberations the meetirig, Three petitions were presented and read representing 1l lots requesting the creation of a Special Improvement District for the purpose of installi4g and constructing a sewer system in a portion of Yellowstone Subdividlon at an estimated cost of 07200.€ 0 and a. tr lak line sewer to connect with the sewer in said Special Improvement District at an approximate cost of 0,000..00. It was mored by Conrad and seconded by Woofers the matter be" referred to the Sewer Committee for investigation and report. The motion carried. Mr. John Laird appeared before - the Council in regards to the enforcement of the ordinance controlling eledt.rical wiring and inspection, An appy..cat ion for a permit by M. 0. Roysdon to Siang a s ign size 21x6v over the sidewalk at 213 W. Main Street according to city. specifications, was presented and read.- It was moved by Gomer and seconded by Thornson the permit be granted,, The motion carried, letter was read from the City Attorneywith a "report from a corm-ittee representing the donors and taxpayers objecting to the building of cabins in the Riverside Park recommending that the park be paid for and maintained by a tax levy and that the log cabins be abandoned, It was moved by Law and seconded. by Conrad the report be tabled, Upon roll call all alderrien present voted aye and the motion was declared passed.. It was moved by Woofers and seconded by Goner Barr' O ' Leary: s contract for water works be ext ended. to April 1$ 1938., for . co .pleta. o and that he be requested to start work as soon as possible. The motion carried o The Mayor appointed. the Corraunity APpraisal Conmittee for government reports as follows: L. A. Nutting, F. W. Graff, Dr. I. No Smith,, Joe Gehrett, Mrs, 0. A. Brohaugh and A. C. Lay. The Mayor left and Mr. Conrad, Preside t, -'o he Council , presided* After -discussion it was mored by Thomson and seconded by Scoarse he W.P.A. labor be placed on the water project beginning March.. 6, 1938, The motion carried, Mr. Reese Price appeared before the Couricil in regards to a ba ild in to be 'erected on his property at the corner of First Avenue and Firs Street, permission applied for by bran Lyons. After discussion, it was referred to the Fire & Police committee to meet with Mr. Price and report, The following members of the Coimiercial Club appeared before the Council.* MacDonald, Moran, Oliver Wold, Wilson,, Barney, McCauley,, Laird;, Calvert, Johnston and Gross, and presen-ted plans for a museum to be erected in the N. P. Park and asked the city, to help by putting in the concrete work. It was estimated the concrete work would cost approximately, $200*00,, It was requested thtL the Commercial Club ile a letter outlining heir future plans in regards to the b ilding# After discussion it was moored by Law and seconded by Woofers the concrete work be done by the city not to exceed $200,,00. Upon roll call all aldermen present mooted aye and the motion was declared pis sed,. It was moved and seconded we do now adjourn. The motion carried.
