February 1 , 1938* Upon roll call the following aldermen answered present Gomer Conrad coarse Thomson Wooters Geo # H. Smith Dr. I. No Smith Law The minutes of February lst were read and approved. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of January was presented and read, It was moved by Conrad and seconded by Thomson the report be approved. The motion carried The report of the City Water Dept, for the month of Januar7 was presented and read... It was moved by Gomer and seconded by Conrad the report be approved. The inotion carried. The report of the City Clerk for the month of January was presented and read.. It was moved by Law and seconded by Thomson the report be approved. The motion carried, Mr. Thomson reported that the matter of building a keeper's house at the reservoir had been referred to the Water. Cormnittee and that they would like more time The Mayor granted the committee more time to report.. .n application for a permit by Ivan Lyons to erect _ a frame store building on concrete foundation, size 20x3O, to cost approximately $1000.00, on the Reese Price property at the corner of First Avenue and First street,, to bd removed at the end of one year, was presented and read.. Salsbury for interest on past due bond No. 35., .I.D. No, 54., the City Attorney reported that the practice had been to pa the interest as claimed b t that there were insufficient funds to pay this bill* It was Moved by Gomer and seconded by Conrad the b .l"be denied because of insufficient funds. The motion carried, Dr. smith arrived and participated in the further deliberation of the meeting.. 1,11,r# F. E.
