The:~::~report of the City Eng3.neer on the expenses f flr the Sewage Disposal Plant was presented and read. I~ was moved by Vo~dahl and seconded by parker the report be appraved. The motion carried. An application to the State Board of Equal3.zation for refund 'of gasoline tax an 1545 gallons was presented. It was moved by ~Tordahl and seconded by Thomson t~.e application be approved. The . motion carried. A~ application by Paul Gjefle, Seeretar~r of the Trades a~ad Industry Giub of the Laurel High School, was presented and read, ire which they asked for the use of the Main Central Building iz~ Riverside Park for a dance November 25, 1942. He also stated that a bill had. been presented to R. J. t~dilliams ~r Saga, ~uho has the ins~rar~ce on the ci~~r truck, artd that dir. ~~i1~.iams had not taken care of the matter. It was moved by Vordahl aid seconded by Parker the rriatter be referred to the ~tree~ & Alley committee. The motion carried. A ~.etter from C. H. Storms, City ~r~gin~er, wag presented and read, in which he asked ghat the council reconsider their aetior~ of the previous meeting regarding the week he was absent from the city ar~d the vote to reduce h3.s wa~ran~ accordin~lg~. The motion carr3.ed. ~'he res3gnatiot~ of Ro~ella Fritz, Gitg Clerk, was presented Minutes of the pity ;Council of Laurel November l7, 1942 and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Thomson the resignation be accepted, ~°he motion carried. The Mayor appointed hiss Ti11.3.e Hohextdorf, City Clerk to fill the unexpired term of Rosella Fritz, resigned, at X140.00 per month. It was moved by Vordahl and ~eeonded b~ mhomsor~ the appoin~mer~t be approved. The motion carried. The Mayor appointed James G. Bare as policeman to fi1~. the vacancy caused bar the resignation of Lou Franzen. It eras gnoved by Thomson and seconded by Parker the appointment bs approved. The mot ion e~rried. It ~uas moved b~ ~TOrdahl and seconded by Thomson the ~syor appoint a special committee to pregare a r~solutio~ of appreciation for the services of Rosel.la Frig as City Clerk. The motion carried. The Mayor, thereupon, appointed Thomson, Vordahl. ar~d Fuller and the C~.ty A~to~^r~ey as the commit~se. The ma~~er of ~ p~~king permit for the bus owned and operated by the ~Totor Transit Company, Billings, was again presented and discussed. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Thomson the matter be referred to the Police Comm3.ttee. The motion cQrri~d. It eras moved and seconded we do x~ow adjourn .
