BDDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
APRIL 15, 1997 4:30 P.M.

The committee reviewed the overtime report for PPE 4-10-97.
Peg Arnold presented a bid from Kenco for a security system at the
Library in the amount of $ 1,095.30 plus $ 22.50 a month to monitor
the system. The committee suggested that she get another bid from
ADT Security Systems.
Discussion regarding a contract with Richard Larsen & Associates
for labor relation services. Motion by Bud Johnson, seconded by
Gary Temple to recommend that the city enter into a three year
contract with Richard Larsen & Associates.
After further discussion there was a motion by Gary Temple,
seconded by Dirk Kroll to table this until we get a copy of a
contract to review. Motion carried.
Discussion regarding the $ 212,000.00 note to Security Bank which
is due April 19, 1997, for repairs to the water intake lines at the
water plant. Motion by Gary Temple, seconded by Dirk Kroll, to
extend the note for one year. Motion carried.
Discussed transferring money from cash-capital projects to cash-
construction in the water fund. A transfer of $ 125,000.00 was
made in October 1995 to be used as interim financing for the water
project. Total costs incurred to date are $ 158,493.36.
(Engineering $ 158,093.36 and a State of Montana permit $ 400.00)

Discussed meeting dates to review 1997-98 preliminary budgets.
Dates have been set for April 28, 30, and May 12, 13, 14, 19, 21,
27, 28, and 29th at 6:30 p.m. in the old council chambers.
Reviewed the March financial report.

Rebuild drive line on fire truck
Two bunker coats and fire breaker boots
