It way moved by Vordahl and seconded b;~ Thomson that the sta~emer~t
be f~.led with t.~ae contract. The mot3.on carried.
Mr. J. D. Fello~r~, Commander of C3.vilian Defense for Laurel,
appeared before. the council asking that the ~.uxiliary fireme~!.:of
the previous local Civilian D~:~ens~ program be released in order
that they may v~ork in tYi~ Civ3.lian Defense program as set up by
the Federal government. It was moved by Vord~h7. and ~ecoraded by
Parker that the Auxiliary Firemen ar~d program as approved January 6, 1942, be revoked and the appo~.ntees releas~:d dram service. Ths
motion carri ed.
It was moved bg Mc1~tl~x~us ar~d seconded bJ ilso~ that the Civilian
Defense a~ yet up by the Federal Gov~rr~men'~ be reeogniz~d as now in
force. Th.e motion carr3.ed,
