in the Council Chamber ar~d vas called to order by Mayor Conrad at

presented and read. Tt was moved by ~Tordahl and securlded by Thomson

The report oP the Chief of Police for the month of April way
presented and read, S'G was moved by 1~cManus ~.nd s ecoz~ded bar ~'eu~rbacher the r'eport'-be approved. The motion carried.
The report of the Police Judge for the month of April was pre-
sen~ed ar~d read. I~ was moved bg Vordah.l and seconded by Gomez the
report 1~ approved. The mo~ior~ carried.
The report o:f the Water Dept . for the month of ,~pril vas ~are-
sented and read. It was moved by Vordahl ar~d seconded by' Gower the
report be approved. The motion carried.
The report of the City Treasurer .Por the month of April was pre-
sented and read. I~ was moved by Parker and seconded by Vordahl the

The report of the City Clerk for the mor~~h of ~ipri~ was presented
and read. It was moved by Vordahl aid seconded by Thomson the report
be apps Dyed. The motion carried.

motion carried.
A biJ.l to R. L:L. Yolk & Ctn. for 15.00 for a 1942 Yellowgtor~e county directory vas presented. It was moved by tTOrdah~ and seconded
by Parker the bill be a1lo~red. The motion carried.

The F.F.A, asked for the use of the main central build3.~a~ in River9zde Park for a dance Nay 2~, 1942. It wras moved by Gomer and
seconded by Thomson the request be granted o~ the usual terms. The
rnotior~ carried.

Ord3.n~nee No. 37~, being an ordinance amend3.r~g Article 3 of
Chapter 6 of Ordi~aance No. 228 of the R~~rised ordinances of the City
of Laurel, Ia~ontana, relating to ~.icensiz~g of tourist camps ar~d cabin
vuith~.n 'c he C ~'~y of Laurel and fixing the charge therefor, ~va~ pr~s~nted
and read for final. passage and adoption. It was moved by Vordahl ar~d

ordinances of the City of Laurel, 144ontana, of 1.921 and repe~.ling S~c~ion 162 of Article 3 of Chapter 6 of said ~rdinar~ce No. 228
as amended by Ordinance No. 235, was presented and read for fin~.l

Parker Ordina~ace No. 375 be finally pa~s~d and adopted. Upon roll
call all alderrr~en present voted aye excspt V~ilson who voted no and
said 4rdir~ance was declared passed aid adopted.
A Letter from B. Beyer Harris ~raa presented and read in which

flat rake for irriga~ior~ purposes. I~ was moved by Vordahl ar~d

RESOLUTION ND. X90
This be3r~g the time set fog hearing prot~gts ag~.3.nst the
pa9sage o~ Resolution Nfl. 59~, being a r~go7.ution deelarir~g an
emergenc~r exists requiring additior~~1 expend3.tures from the Pol3.e~
Fund, the C3.ty Clerk presented proof of publication in the Laurel Outlook and Mated that r~o protests had been received. It was moved
by Vordahl and seconded by Parker 'Ghat Resolution No. 590 be f inall.g
passed and adopted. Upon ro1.l call all aldermeza present voted aye
except Wilson ~uho voted no and the resolution was declared passed ar~d
adopted. The zno~ion carried.
A letter from the ~to~or Transit Company, B3.1lir~gs, was presented
and read, in which the3~ requested permission to have a reserved
parking space in front of the Gardner drug Company. The ma.tte~ was
referred to the City Attorney and Chief of Police.
Mr. Thomson reported that a Me~c7.el ,A ford motor was available ~ far X15,00 fog the street oiler. After d3.scussion, it was moved bar
Gomer and seconded by Parker the purchase of the motor be authorized.
The motion carried.

The matter of px~:~hibitin~ the planting of certain kinds of tre~:s
on the boulevard wag discussed. ~'he matter was referred to ~IcMar~us,
Parker ar~d Feuerba~her,
It was moved by Vordahl ar~d aeconded by' F~uerbacher that 180 feet
of 18-inch ~~.le pipe be added to the outflov~ of the regular estime~e
for the Sewage Disposal Plant. The motion carried.
