The off iciaZ bonds of the City Clerk, Chief of Po13ce and Water Commissioner da riot show the approval of the Counci:~ by Endorse- ment on the fonds. The City C~.erk1s Ledger Account of Outstanding Special Improve- ment vistrict Bands and Warranty is nod in reconcilement with the accounts of the City Treasurer. The Librarian's ±^PcprJs of Fees and Fines collected are not we1.l kept. Addi-~ions made of the month's business do not agree with the arnaunt of remittances made. Entries should be made at the time of receiving the rnone~ in the book provided for the list of fees and f iraes . The City Treasurer is carrying on his records several old checks amounting to 240.40 which have been autst~ndin~; for some year. These checks should be cancel7.ed by an order entered on the minutes of the Council and the Treasurer instructed to issue a receipt for the amount placing tk~e money in the General Fund of the City, If in the future any of the checks should be pre- sented for payment, the Counc3.1 can pass a claim in the amount of the check. The Treasurer should not issue a receipt when issuing a license. Reconcilement was not made at the time of examination for the reason that several entries made by a former employee could not be verified. The C1erk~s Ledger Account should be corrected by Journal Entry to correspond with tie Balance as shflwn on the Reconcilement of the Con~umers~ Register. A motion was made by I~!icCracken and seconded by Parker the City Treasurer issue a warrant in payment of the Laurel Cemetery upon approval of the claim by the City ~ttorney.
