The m3.nutes of the last meeting were read ar~d approved.
Upon roll call the fallowing alderman answered present:

An ~pBs~icat3.or~ for a beer license for the Palace wag presented and read. Ifi was moved b~ Parkor and seconded b~ McCracke~, ghat the City Treasurer
be a:u~hor~zed to 3.ssue a license, The motion carried.
An application for a beer and liquor 1.iaen;ge submitted bar the Laurel Bar
was presented and read. It was moved 'b~ Smith and seconded b~ McCraaker~
that the Cit~r Treasurer be authorized ~o issue the license. The motion carried.
An application for a beer and liquor ~icer~se submitted bg the Board of
Trade way presented and read. It was moved b~ Parker aid seconded bar
Feuerb~cher that the City Treasurer be authorized ~a issue the license.
The motion carried,

was presented and read, It was moved b~ Parker and seconded by Feuer-
bacher that the Cit~r Treasurer be authorized to issue the license.
The motion carried.
A building permit submitted by Clad Greening was presented and read. It was moved by Feuerbacher asad seconded b~ Pa~i~~r that the permit
be granted. The motion carr~.ed.

The City C Jerk ~ s report for the month of Mai was pre sen'~ed and re€~d,
It was moved by Feuerbacher and seconded by Smith that the report be
approved, The mot3a:~~ carried,
It was moved by W3~~o~a arad seconded bg~ Feuerbacher that the Fireman
be granted a monthlg compensation of ~;25.~0 beginning April 1st 1944, ~'hi~ zs in addition to the X60.00 fob=~_convention expenses. The mot3ont
carried. .
It was moved b~ McCracken and seconded bar Feuerbacher th~.t the permit
subm3.tted by F~~d Griffey be granted provided that he put in a sidewalk
on the West Side of the Building. The motion carr3.ed.
