The C3t~r Council. of the City of Laurel met 3n regular session in the Council. Chambers end was called to order by Mayer Thomson at 7:3
otclock P.M. on June 6, x.944.
The minutes of the lash meeting were read and approved..

A letter from the Volunteer Fire Department was presented and reed, Tt
was moved by Parker and seconded bar Gomez that it be referred to the Fire
Committee with authority to act. The mot ion carried.
'i The Police Judge ~ s report for the month of ~Za~r was presented and read. Zt was moves by Gower and seconded by ~lilson that the repot be approved. Thy
motion carried.
The Library report for the month of May was preesr~ted and read, It vas moved
by Wilson and seconded by Mc~ianua that the report be approved. The motion
carried.
The Po~.ice reports for the month of Mai were presented azad read'. It way
moved by Feuerbacher and seconded by McCracken that the reports be
approved. The motion carried.
A beer and ~.iquor license application submitted by Frank Jacobs was pre-
sente~. and read. It was moved by Gomsr ar~d seconded bar ~'~~ker that the application be approved. The motion carried.
~ building permit submitted by Roy E. Gibson was presented and read. It
~va9 moved by V~ilson and seconded by Nc~Ianus ghat the permit be granted.
The motion carried.
A buildi.sa~ permit submitted by Walter Smidt was presented and read. I~
was moved by McManua and seconded by Gamer ghat the permit be ~raxzted.
The motion carried.
The City Water Department report for the month of May was pre~er~ted and
read. It was moved by Parker and seconded by McCracken that the report be approved. The motion carried.

It was moved by Go~.er arad seconded by Feuerbacher that the Crane company
bid be accepted and that the Water CoTrnnittee check the same and place
the order. The m~ztion carried.
It was moved by Parker arad seconded by Feuerbacher that the Mayor appoint
a committee to investigate the cost and operation of the cemetery with perpetual care. Thereup the Mayor appointed Jack Parker, Henry E. Gomer~
