Minutes of the City council of Laurel October 2, 1945 '4 ~ the City council of the City of ~iaurel met in regular session in the Council Chambers and was called to order by Mayor Thomson at '7:3 otclock P.M. October 2, 1945. Upon ro11 call the following .~1.dermen answered present Rodgers 1~1o1d Wilson Goner Feuerbacher Parker Smith The minutes of the last regular meeting wire read and approved. The Police reports for the Month of September ~rere presented and read. ~ motion way made by Gomer and seconded by Feuerbacher the reports be approved. The motion carried. The report of the Malice Judge was presented and read. It ~roas m~aved by darker and ae~onded by Rodgers the report be accepted. The motion carried. A request for a ninety (90)Gday leave of absence, signed by tNayne ~Ni1Zis, Chief of Poliee was presented to the Council. The motion way made by larker and seconded by Mold the request be referred to the Police Committee a~ad the Mayor. The motion carried. The Library report f'or the month of September was presented and read., It was moved by,~Vold and secor~de~ by Gomer the report be approved. the motion carried. request for g~~n. ~sion to connect with the Main Trunk line South Side sewer,~:°~~g~~~..~b~~~.=~1r~p~.~:es;~~ettinger was presented to the Council. ~i motion was made by Rodgers and seconded bJ`~omer ~:~~mssion be granted upon signing of the agreement by Sophie Hettinger and the Mayor. The motion carried. The Gity Treasurer's report for the month of September way presented and read. ~ motion was made by Filson and seconded by Parker the report be approved.. The motion carried. The State Examiners report dated September 10, T945, was presented and read. It was moved by Par~e~ and seconded by Rodgers the report be placed on the minutes of the meeting.
