Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
September 18, 1945
The City Council a~ the City of Laurel met in regular session
in the Council Gha~nbers and was called to order by 11~Iayor 'Thomson
at 7:30 o~cl.ock P.l~ri. September 18, 1945.
Upon ro11 call the f'ollowinu aldermen answered present

~'he minute~r of the last regular meeting were .dead and approved.
~i'he City C'lerk's annual report was presented for approval.

The motion carried.
~ request ~'or refund of penalty and interest on taxes was presented.
Claim was signed by J. Owen ~~eherett. It was mewed by td'Uold and seconded
by Ii'euerbacher the claim be referred to the Finance Conunittee to report
back at next regular meeting. The motion car;~ied.

A motion was made b~ darker and seconded by ~lUieber Resolution
No. 627 be passed. Upon roll ca11 all Aldermen present voted aye
and said resolution was declared pas9ed.
This being the time set foie opening bids for Fire truck and i ire equipment the Cit;~ Clerk presented affidavits of publication
in the Laurel Outlook and the bids were then opened.. motion was made
by Parker and seconded by Rodgers consideration of the bids be referred
to the r'ire C~mrr,ittee with authoritSF to act. 'he motion carried.
Arequest for a permit to construct a frame house of new ma~Gerial on Lots 19 20, ~1ock 10 l~iuttin~ Subdivision, to be 301X 34~ with fttl~
cement basement, sh3n~le ~~ao~'~,.ap~~oximate cost X4,000.00 to be com-
pleted within one year, signed by Leo Dietrich was presented. ~1. motion
was made by Par~~er and seconc~.ec~ by ~Iieber the permit be ~ran~e{.~ .
A request for a permit to construct a nevi house 26t X 32' with full.

composition roof approximate cost X1,500.00 signed by Dr.D.H. T4~'~cCauley
was presented. It was moved by F.odgers and seconded by Feuerbacher the
permit be granteel. The motion carried.

and seconded by Feu~rbacher the permit be granted. The motion carried,

Lots 8-9-10, I31ock 4 Eas~G Laurel Subdivision, 24tx30t frame construction
stucco finish approxirriate cost ~2,5~~.~0 signed by Theodore Schesg~.e.r
was presented, It was mQVed by.Parker and seconded by Rodgers the permit

was presented. A motion vas made by Parker and seconded by Rodgers the
permit be granted. The motion carried.

h.is residence,It was moved by Rodgers and seconded by Parker permission
be granted, Mr. TVlichael to sign agreement to participate in the Special:
Improvemnet District. The motion carried.
No other business it was moved, seconded .and carried we do now
adjourn.
