The City council. of the City of Laurel met in regular session
in the Council Chamber and was called to order by Mayor ~'homson at
'7:3~ o'clock P.M. ,august 7, 1945.
Upon ro11 call the following aldermen answered present:

Wilsom Parker
The minutes of the last r~gul.a~ meeti~ag were read and approved.
The City Treasurer's report for the month of July was presented and road. Upon motion by Gozr~er and secQ~d by Parker the report was
approved as read.
The Library report. for the month of Julg ~?as presented and read.
It was moved by Wold and seconded by Rodgers the report be approved.
The mot3.on carried.
The resignation of Sam Frank was., again presented and it vuas
decided to withhold action for another two weeks. r,
letter .from Black and Veatch, consulting Engineers re~ardin
ti.--' proposal to make a study. of the treatment of the City water and to_
deliver a report for the sum of F3.ve Hundred do1].ars, (~5~0.04~ was read. Upon motion by ~€old and secoMd by Rodgers the ps~oposal was
accepted.
The Budget vu~s presented for final approval. It was move~3 by
~Ni7.son and seconded by 91~ieber the final budget be approv8d and the

A request for a permit #ab move a buil~ingl4' x 24 t from 7th ave .
fast an6th street to 5th avenue then South on 5th to 219 5th avenue
to remodel this building, to place on concrete foundation and to have stucco finish, signed by Jake Keiz was presented. It was moved
by Parker and seconded by Nilson the permit be granted. The motion
carr~~d.
A request for a permit to remodel a dwrelling on lots l3 & 14,
block 31, East Laurel Subdivision. addition to b~ 1(3~x 16~ stucco finish over a11. and concrete f oundation under full house 26 ~ x 32 ~
signed by ~.B. Harlan, was presented. I~ was moved by~iold and
seconded by Gom~rr the permit be granted. The motion carried.
