The motion carr3.ed letter of appreclatii~ to the Counc3.1 in regard t~ their co-operation in ix~s~allirzg the dr3~akin~ fountain purchased by the. Uni~r~r Garden ~1.ub to be in~~alled on the ~airz Street way read and fi1.e~. letter from the Counter .~,sse~sor quoting assessed value 0f all prvpertg within the Gity of laurel as 2,367,1~5.~~ and the Ta~r~ble value as 67'7,233.~~ was read a~ttd f3ied. report df the serv3.ces rezadered b~ ti~.e Montana Municipal League vas read and filed. The report of the ~1k gample~ for Ju3y 12th was read and a motion was made by Feu~~^~acher and seconded by 8mi~h the report` be approved. The motion carded, Renevual o~ polices for City Trucke was brought before the Ca~;ncil and a motion was made by ~ti].son and ~~conded by Feuerbacher to refer to th+e Finance Comm3tt~e. Mayor Thomsoza, Gounci].men Parker. and Filson r~portsd they would meet with &ir. Veatch of Black and Veatch Engineering Farm in regard settling basin .and having plans drawn later if wanted by the City. The budget was preeented~to the Council and tabulation Baas read to the council as g whole: It was decided to deduct ~3~0.00 from Sal'arie~s and add ~500.0~ to ~Iai~tensnee and operas-ion fund im the Police ~e~~rtm~:r~~ budge~G and add 50.~~ to the salary of the Leal Department bud~e~. It was moved by Smith and seconded by Filson the preliminary budget be appra~ve~.
