The City Council of the City ~f Laurel met in regular Hessian
ira the Council Chambers az~d was called to order b;~ ~~;ayor
Thomson at 7:30 0 ~ c lock P.M. January 1.6, 1945
Upon ro1~ ca11 the following Aldermen answered present:

N~inutes of the last regular meeting; were read and a motion
w~~ made by Parker and seconded by McIv~anus they be approved.
The motion carried.
The Official Bond of F,H. Suddith, for Police Jua~;e was. presented. A motion was made by McManus and seconded by Parker
the bond be approved. The motion Carried,
The City Treasurer's Financial report for the month of
December was p?'esel7~ted and read. ~ motion was made by Comer
ar~d seconded by Feuerbacher the report be approved. The motier~ carried.
Resolution No. 617.
Resolution No. 617, be irag a resolution transferr3.ng certaixa
funds af' the. C3.ty of Laurel..
Be it resolved by the pity Council of t;he City of Laurel:
That the City Treasurer be, and he hereb3r is, authorized
and directed to transfer the sum of Thirty-two dollars and
e3.~hty-eight ceaats, (~32.~a), from Sp~e3a1. Tanprovement District
N4. 70 to the, General Fund, That the Gity Treasurer be, and he hereby i~, authorized
and directed t o transfer the sum of Seventy-Six dollars ar~d
thirty-two cents from the Special Sewer fund to the General
~~'und .
Passed and approved ~iltrlia 16th day of January, 145
Upon roll call all Aldermen present voted aye a.nd said
Resolution was declared passed.
The a~p~icati.on of G. .A3.ex for membership on the Volunteer
Fire De~ar~men~ was presented and rend. A motion was made 'py
Wilson and seconded by Parker the application be a~prc~ved. ~l'he motion carried.

The Health Of fa.cer~ report f'or the month of llecember was
presented and read, including the report of mi~.k samples
for January 15th. ~ motion way made by Parker and seconded
by ~;cCracken the report be approved. The motion carried.

The City Glerkts report for the month off' October was pre-
sented anfl read, together with the information reports .for
the months of November and December could not be made for
some time as the Ledger sheets for Taxes Receivable for the years 1943 and 194 had nod been set up and correct ba3.ances
v~ould nod be availab~.e until these had been yet up and entries
made. ~.~motion was made by Parker and seconded by Filson the
report. be approved. The motion carried,
A motion was made b~ Parker and seconded by McCracke3~ the City Clerk be given authority to -hire assistance a~ she
sees fi~G to correct these records and to pay a salary accord- '
ingly. The motion carried.
The Water Hedport for the month of llecember wag read and a
motion was made by Parker and seconded by Filson the report
be approved. The motion carried.
The report of Taxes received in December vas presented and
read. motion was amde by ?darker and ~eaonded by McA~~anus
the Taxes as distributed be approved. The matron carried:...
Mr. Parker gave an interesting report on his attendance at the ~riontana ~tiunl.cipal League meeting January 13th, at ~.ele~aa.
A motion was made by homer and seconded by Parker we adjourn.
