December 17th, 1946. Upon ro11 call the following aldermen answered present: ~i~.son Rodgers Parker Feuerbacher +a1.d smith In absence of I~~iayor 2'homson and alderman Goer, President o~ the Council, it was rncved by ~Yilsor~ and seconded by Smith, ~h~t ~ld~rman Parker preside. ~~'he motion carried, The minutes of the last regulmr meeting were r cad, and it was moved by F'eu~r~acher and seconded by Wold, the minutes be approved after corred~ior~~ were made. 'l'he motir~ carried. Donald +~cyea appeared before the cou~ZCi1 r equesting permission to keep a tra~l.er house in the City, on the property belonging to Robert ~tetzer, at 7th Avenue and 6th street. It was moved bar smith and seconded by Rodger, permission be given Mr. Coles, and water billed to him. The motion carried. dir. Calres Sande appeared before the Council, representing dir. F'ranl~ Jacok~~, IVIr. C. ~1. ~3iff'1.e, Gust Kerner, Charles Ueorge, John Prig and Ft. L. It~icCormick, the bar keepers ~.n the City. N>r. ~~arcure~s letter of. December 3rd, eras re-redd to the Council. Tt was moved by ~'euerbacher and seconded by fold that the motion of Decmmber 3rd, granting 1VI~. Marcur~~s request for beer ~~nd liquor license be called back ~'or ~e-consideration by the Council.. the motion carried. Tt was moved by fold and seconded by Rodgers the original motion be ~abIl.ed for consid~ratiar~. The motion carried. Z'he City Clerk was instructed to w irte The State Liquor F3oard at Helena, and Mr. Joseph ~iarcure re~ardin~ the C~uncil~s action of the meeting of Decemaer 17th. `~~here way a general discussion during the meeti~?g, ~~vith the del~gat3.on appearing before the Council, regarding the operatd~rs ref' bars appointing a Merchant Police, subject to the approval. of 'the Mayor and Council, atad to be paid by the operators. A letter from Dr. C. L, Heath of Billings, regarding additional pay dui to increased tests,~was presented and read. Harlan Fussell, for 7.'ourist Motel, was presenters and read, It was moved by ~73.lson -and seconded by Smith the request be brant~d, Thy motion carried. ~n application for a permit, by J. S. One bid was received f rom Frank i~aird ~'or lots 18, 19 & 20, dock 2, Young's Second :subdivision, at ~~.50.15. It was moved by hodgers and seconded by ~~ilson the bid be rejected without comment . The emotion carried. It was moved by Feuerbacher at~c~ seco~mtded by Smith, Nir. Baird~s check be returned to him. TYie motion carried. Thy milk report far the month of :December was presented and read. It was rr~oved by Filson and s econded by Feuerbacher the report be approved as read. '1'h.e met ion carried. `the City engineer+s report on the cost of the butter repairs on ~~ain Street was presented ~~r~d r cad. It was moved by ~~o1d and seconded by Wilson the property owners be billed f'or their share of the cost of the construction work. The motion carried. A letter from the Pacific States Gait Iron .Pipe Co. to the City Engineer was pre sentec~ and read. 2'he letter was placed on file.
