yhe pity Council of the pity of Lau~~rl met in regular session in the
~ounc~l chamber and was called to order by Mayor Thomson at 7:30 otcloek
P. M. September 3rd, 1946.
Upon ro11 call the following aldermen answered present:
Feuerbacher Comer
~'arker Filson
j~odgers
the minutes of the last regular matting and the adjourned meeting
were reed, and it was moved by Feuerbacher and secnnded by Comer, the minutes
be approved as read. `j'he motion carried.
Thy minutes of the meet3_ng of ,~ug~xst 20th were presented and read. It
waa mav~d by Parker and seconded by kodgers, the m.inut~s be approved as read.
The motion carried.
Nfr. N~1.s Vordah7. and Mr. Ross Green appreared before the eouncil in
regard to the nuisance of tr~~s sending their roots up in Mr. Green+s ].awn,
from the parking in front of his home, and breaking up the s3.d~walt~. Tt
was moved by Parker and seconded by Rodgers that the council give this problem consideration in order to eliminate similar tree problems all over the city.
The motion carried.
Mr. -~h~r-~e~ °~~~.rc~e appeared before the Council in regard to purchasing
Lots 3 to 6 incl sive, Allard subdivision, Black 28. It was moved by Parker and s~c~nd~d by ~~erbacher, the City Cl~:rk bs authorized- to publish notice
for bid on sale of the lots. ~'h~ motion carried,
RESOLUTION N0. 636
Resolution No. 636, a resolution Zevying and ass~ss3.n~ a tax upon all
property in Special Improvement District No. 71, of the City of Laurel, Montana ~o defray the cost of making improvements in said special Improvement District
was presented and read. Tt was moved by Parker and seconded by Corner the
Resolution b~ provisionally passed, Upon ro11 call all aldermen present
answered ~iye, and said Resolution was declared provisionally passed.

by Wilson and seconded by ~terbach~r tha~ Resolution No. 6~7 b~ finally
pas~ec~ and adopted. Upon ro1~. call all aldermen present voted aye and said
resolution was declared finally passed and adopted.

Resolution No. 639, a resolution levying and ass~ssin~ a special tax
against certain property designated as Garbaga Listrict No. 1, for the removal
of snow, weeds, gart~a~e and refuse was presented and read. St was moved by Parker and seconded by comer that Resolutio~t No. 639, be tingly passed and
adopted. Upon ro;~l call all aldermen present voted aye and said resolution
was dec lard fins ].1y passed and adopted.
RESOLUTION N0. 640
Resolution No. 640, a resolution levying and ~3SCH9~Y7~, a special tax
aga3nst certain property designated as Garba~e District No. 2, for the removal of garbage, snow, weeds and refuse was pres~r~ ~d and read. It was moved bar
F~uerbacher and seconded by Rodgers that Resolution No. 640 be finally passed
and adopted. Upon ro11 call all aldermen present voted aye and paid resolution
was declared finally passed and adopted.

end Specific purposes Por the year 1946 was presented and read. Tt was moved by

aid read, It was moved by Gom~r and Seconded by Rodger, the permit be granted.

authority to eomplet~ plans and specifications for swimming Pool, and prepare
the Notice for Bids. 3'h~ motion carried.
It was moved by Parker ~znd seconded by Gower, that the City Engineer contact
the State Highway Department to repair the damage the loaded trucks have caused
on ~'lder .~.venuc. The motion carried.
It was moved by Parker and seconded by Rodgers the City Engineer have
authority to vuork up the plans and- specifications for making a new chan~ael in
the River, and the, City ~'lerk was instructed to publish not3.ce of same in the
Laurel Outlk~ok. jhe motion carried.
