ORDIN~NGE NO. 3~6
Ordinance No 3~6, being an ordinance providing for the operation of the
Laurel Cemetery, cr~,ating the Laurel cemetery ~'ommission, providing for the appoint~.ent of members of said commission, term of office, organization, pow~;rs,
receitp of dor~atio~;s, perpetual care of certain portions thereof, expenditures
and investment of fund, contracts for sale of lots and conveyance by deeds ~'or
propert~r sold, and adoption of rules and regulations with reference to the
condition:, control and.. use of Laurel Cemeter~r was presented and read. It was moved b~ o1.d and seconded by' ~~ilson that Ordinance No. 386 be passed oz~ first
read'in~ ~7pvr~ ro11 call a1~. aldermen preset voted aye and said Ordinance was
~ declared passed on first reading.
RESOLUTION N0. 634
~esol~tian Igo. 634, b~in~ a resolution providing for the sale .and issuance of 'General Swimming Pool Bonds, pity of laurel, Montana, Z946~' in the amount of
Tvu~nt~-Five ~'housand Dollars, in accordance with the results of a special. Bond
elect ors held< in the City of Laurel, Njontana, on the 20th day of May,. 1946.

was presented and read, It vuas moved by Parker and seconded by ~~ilson that He~olution No 634 be passed ~n<:;if'irst reading. Upon ro11. ca11 all aldermen
present voted ~.ye and said Fcesolution was declared passed and adopted.

bul~.'doz~r for use at 'the Sewage Disposal Plant was presented and read. `j'h~ 1e~ter
vua~f placed on file and the pity engineer was directed to answ~;r same.
letter from the ~iorr Company to the City Engineer asking f'or definite dates
for operator to be on job was presented and read. ~l'he litter was placed on f iTe~
and the Git~ E~~ neer was directed to answer same.

traps eves presented and read. Z~ was moved by Parker end seconded by Rodgers that the Ci~~r ~n~ineer take action in regard to s~;curing proper oil traps. The motion

'the report of the City Treasurer for the month of Maur waa presented and
~ read. ~t was rs3oved b~ darker and .seconded by Comer the report be approved as read. ~'he motion carried.
The Library report for the month of Niay was presented end read. It was
moved by ~~ilson and Seconded by Parker the report be approved. The rr~otion carried.

Herriott returning to work be referred to the ~,~ayor and Policy Gommittee. Thy
motion carried.

The Nfayor announced that J. H. Crutches way acting Police Judge.
~n application for a permit, by Anna F, Smith, to ~o;-e a 12~x1~2 frame
building from hc~r ranch of Laurel to lot 8, Block 6, Laur~1 Realty Subdivisio to be placed on concrete blocky and footing, and to be moved on a rubber tired
vehicle, was pr~s~nt~d, It vase rr~oved by Parker and seconded by Kod~ers the permit
be granted. Thy City Clerk was instructed to write a letter stipulating the
provisions of grant ira~ i~he permit to N~rs . Smith. The snot ion carried .

and to construct a doubly garage and workshop ire the rear of his home, was

lots on ~~th 1~venu~ at ~1.~ per lot. The motion carried.
L. Nutting offered the Gi ~r of .Laurel deeds f'or Lots 5 to 24 both
inclusive in Block Nutting subdivision, to be used for Park purposes, and
.reported he was purchasing Lots 1 to 4"inlucsivs in amid Block, so as to cover
the entire Block. It was moved b~ Rodgers ar~d seconded by Filson the Gitg accept
the land and name the park Nutting Park. The motion carried.
